- Got chased by 5 mastiffs today and chased them off with sticks and rocks. Those dogs are ferocious! #
- Also had longest distance of the trip between signs of civilization (and food) today — 65km of dirt roads thru mountains! Beautiful though! #
- Started raining just as we started pitching tents. Everything got soaked and kids ran off with the bikes! Got bikes back and dried tents out #

- And we're up on the Tibetan Plateau! 3,500+ meters and moving onto the grasslands! #
- Crossed a pass at 4,245m (14,255ft). Now it's all yaks, mastiffs and Tibetans! Definitely in the middle of nowhere now though. #
- Just had an amazing night with a bunch of Tibetan yak herders in a big ol' tent. Dinner of yak meat and peppers cooked on yak paddy stove. #
