Andy Keller is the man behind the visuals of this project. Andy has been a photography enthusiast since high school but only recently started being able to afford decent equipment (that stuff is not cheap).
The closest thing to professional photography experience in Andy’s life was a junior-year internship in the pictures department at Reuters in Beijing, where he learned to scour the internet for endless hours looking for stories for other people to photograph. For Andy’s other photography, you can browse his Flickr gallery.
Andy used to live in Beijing where he worked in investor relations at Ogilvy Financial and translated for Caijing Magazine. Since the walkout of Managing Editor Hu Shuli and the majority of business reporters from Caijing, Andy has continued translating part-time from the road for Caixin Media. Andy is a native of York, Pennsylvania and graduated from Dickinson College in 2006 with a major in international business and management and a minor in Chinese.
Andy’s been trying to keep up with his reading on the road, thanks to the advent of e-books, with a heavy emphasis on reading stuff he was supposed to have read in high school but managed to avoid at the time. He recommends everything he’s read.
