Alexis Lerognon is the newest recruit to the team. As a Frenchman fluent in Chinese, his role will be to enrich the project by authoring a version in the language of Molière. He’ll contribute updates in French in addition to helping his two teammates with researching and interviewing our beloved LBX friends. In China, every Frenchman is immediately met with the same phrase: “The French are very romantic.” What could be better for the team than a romantic in a harmonious society? Of course there’s nothing more important for harmonizing this journey, which promises to be long and exhausting, than to “romanticize” the relations and exchanges with the locals.

Formerly a student of Chinese and Japanese at the Jussieu University in Paris, Alexis is well acquainted with the city of Tianjin (where he spent a year and a half) in addition to the Tianjin dialect frequently used in xiangsheng (comedy duos). This Parisian by birth has been living in Beijing for the past three years, where he has worked in several fields, notably as a French teacher, project leader in a communications company, and most recently as a translator/editor for CCTV-F (the French language channel of CCTV), from which position he was politely dismissed for writing and reading on air several “delicate” texts, such as this. Even if Alexis seems at first reserved and affable, the default mode for this ironic satirist is to act the fool at the most unexpected times and not know when to stop. Version Française

Alexis Lerognon est la nouvelle recrue de l’équipe. Français parlant couramment le Chinois, son rôle est d’enrichir le projet en lui apportant une version dans la langue de Molière. Il contribuera ainsi à la mise à jour en français du site et accompagnera ses deux coéquipiers à la recherche et aux interviews de nos chers amis LBX. En Chine, un Français qui se présente est automatiquement accueilli par la phrase : « Les Français sont très romantiques ». Qu’espérer de mieux pour l’équipe qu’un romantique dans une société harmonieuse ? Rien de tel pour harmoniser ce périple qui promet d’être long et éreintant, ainsi que pour ‘romantiser‘ les rapports et échanges avec les locaux.

Ancien étudiant en chinois et japonais à l’Université Jussieu de Paris, Alexis connaît bien la ville de Tianjin (où il a étudié un an et demi), ainsi que son dialecte souvent utilisé dans les xiangsheng (spectacles de duos comiques). Ce Parisien d’origine vit maintenant à Pékin depuis trois ans, où il a travaillé dans plusieurs domaines, notamment en tant que prof de français, chef de projet dans une société de communication, mais aussi traducteur-correcteur à CCTV-F (la chaîne francophone de CCTV), d’où il a été poliment congédié pour avoir rédigé et lu des textes ‘délicats’, notamment celui-ci (si la page de CCTV-F n’est plus disponible, cliquez ici). Car si Alexis semble au premier abord réservé et affable, le principal défaut de cet ironico-satirique est de ‘déconner’ dans les moments les plus inattendus et de ne pas savoir s’arrêter.
